

The additional plug-ins are intended for use with Abaqus/CAE 6.9, and they may not be available in future releases. For a brief description of the installed plug-ins, select Plug-ins About Plug-ins from the main menu bar see “How can I get information about a plug-in?, ” Section 76.3 of the Abaqus/CAE User's Manual, for more information. The installed plug-ins are accessible through the Plug-ins menu on the main menu bar in Abaqus/CAE. To install the additional plug-ins, extract the contents of additional_plugins.zip to the directory abaqus_dir\6.9- n\abaqus_plugins. This can be opened with a text editor to view its contents (Figure 5). This is normally located in C:\SIMULIA\Commands. These additional plug-ins are stored in the following file: abaqus_dir\6.9- n\abaqus_plugins\additional_plugins.zipwhere abaqus_dir is the Abaqus parent directory. By default, the abaqus command will be installed in such a way, that it refers to the newest version of Abaqus. Abaqus/CAE 6.9 also includes a few additional plug-ins.

By default, several kernel and GUI example plug-ins are provided with Abaqus/CAE, as described in Chapter 77, “Abaqus plug-ins,” of the Abaqus/CAE User's Manual. 5.3 Installing additional Abaqus/CAE plug-insĪbaqus plug-ins execute Abaqus Scripting Interface and Abaqus GUI Toolkit commands, and they provide a way to customize Abaqus/CAE for your particular needs or preferences.
